Strap and Structure Bring The Human Data Conversation to SXSW Interactive 2016

We are excited to announce that our Co-Founder and CEO Steve Caldwell will be participating in a dual session at SXSW 2016 with Structure’s Co-Founder and CEO, Charlie Key.

This session, titled Leveraging Human Data From Wearables, will take a look at human data and how it can be leveraged for retailers, CPGs, and in the IoT as a whole. The big question is how to apply IoT and human data in ways that will resonate with customers so that they actually are compelled to adopt them. We hope you’ll join us to learn more!

There are hundreds of millions of wearables users today and the wearables category is growing. Wearables, smartphones, activity tracking platforms, and even smart medical devices have given us a new data stream to consider as developers, designers, and marketers. Human data gives us rich insights and context on critical human behaviors, biometrics, activity types/intensity, eating, and sleeping. Where is the potential in this data and how can it be leveraged? Steve Caldwell is a leader in the emerging field of human data analytics, empowering brands, retailers and organizations with actionable insights that significantly improve marketing and engagement programs. Steve has been building web, mobile and big data streaming applications in some way, shape or form for over 15 years, with a recent emphasis on wearables, big data, and sensor applications. Steve is a successful entrepreneur and sold his first company, crosstek, in 2014.
