Spring Internship Applications are Now Open!

We’re looking for fresh talent to join us in the spring! If you like what you read below, send your resume, cover letter, and work samples that correspond with the internship you want to info@straphq.com.

Strap interns have a direct impact on our work. This is the ideal internship for a self-starter who is detail driven but can also think big picture with us. Unlike other internships at bigger companies, you will be working hands on with our products and helping drive the success of Strap. Your days here will largely be what you make of them. You can be part of changing this place if you want, but that comes through initiative, courage, and some elbow grease. And you’ll have a mentor whose brain you can pick along the way, as long as you’re ready to return the favor. We’re looking specifically for college juniors and seniors. All of our internships are 3 months long, paid, and 20 hours a week MINIMUM. Any less and you won’t be getting the full Strap experience.

Digital Marketing

We’re looking for Digital Marketing Interns to support the marketing efforts of our startup. They should be endlessly curious and come alive by running with questions to uncover insights, trends, and solutions in surprising places. And they can translate their findings into writing, spreadsheets, or the often-underrated verbal explanation (TED Talks, anyone?) They’re excellent communicators with both left- and right-brains and don’t shy from the tech world. They’re highly creative problem solvers while being meticulous about details. And they’re incredibly adept writers. Grammar means a lot to us (probably too much).

Specific Tasks will include: blog writing, inbound marketing through Hubspot, research, event planning, pitch support, PR, Social media management and more!

Work samples: Writing samples, please! Could be blogs, press releases, marketing related school projects, etc.

Graphic Design

We’re looking for Graphic Design Interns with awe-inducing portfolios that showcase a wide variety of conceptual, well thought out work with a focus on web design and illustration. You will be using Adobe Creative Suite ALL DAY so you need to be fluent in the software. A little front end experience certainly doesn’t hurt.

Specific Tasks Include: designing internal projects, assisting in brainstorming and concepting sessions and more.

Work samples: Please send us a link to your digital portfolio with strong examples of web or app design and illustration.

Programming

We’re looking for Programming Interns who want to gain experience building real apps and websites for the marketplace. We’re testing a couple of really cool things and we’re looking for students with ambition who want real hands on practice. Any experience with Node, Go, Mongo, iOS, Android, PhoneGap, or Appcelerator is a huge plus. Make sure to come ready to explore and review any projects you have worked on. Cool (working) projects, apps, and repos are what we are looking for – they provide great insight to your ability to jump in the team and build great stuff.

Specific tasks to include: prototyping, research, front end and back end development – with help from experts!

Work samples: A link to your github and any school projects or projects from hackathons.
